Join Golden Eagle Audubon Society trained leaders for a walk through Esther Simplot Park and the Boise Greenbelt. Esther Simplot Park is a 55-acre recreational area next to the Boise River, and is home to a variety of wetland birds and animals. The pace will be slow to allow everyone to enjoy the birds and observe any interesting behavior. We'll be on the lookout for cormorants, herons, swallows, warblers, hummingbirds and wrens, as well as ducks and waterfowl. Be prepared to walk about 2 miles on paved trails. Bring water and your binoculars or borrow some from us. The Park is huge - make sure to meet us at the parking lot furthest from the entrance. https://maps.app.goo.gl/dWTzTtbdj3xTExzf8 After the birding experience, we will have rented kayaks and paddleboards for the participants to use on the Esther Simplot Ponds. Please wear water clothes and bring sunscreen and a towel.
